Rondang Bittang Festival is an annual event held by residents of Simalungun, which is a traditional feast as a thanksgiving for the harvest they get. The party will take place on the shores of Lake Toba on September 28-30, 2017.
At the opening ceremony, you will see young artists performing Haruan Bolon dances (planting rice). There are also wedding contests, traditional music performances, fishing dances, and ornamental celebrations known as Nanga Lian Bodat. Do not miss the fishing dance if you are single, or married but without a kid. Residents believe that the dance can give you spouse or children.
