Taman Wisata Iman or Faith Travel Park features 13 hectares (32 ac) of ritual sites representing all religions practiced in Indonesia. It is in the Sitinjo Village, Dairi, about 10 km (3.9 mi) from Sidikalang (capital city of Dairi Regency). To see it on the map, click here.
It is a unique place because, despite the fact that the local people are predominantly Christians, the park represents all faiths equally. There are places of worship, i.e., a mosque, a Catholic church, a Christian church, a Buddhist temple, a Hindu temple, each uniquely designed for sightseeing. For example, the Saddahavadana Temple features the statue of Buddha Rupang. The founder of this site envisaged that all followers of any religion would live in harmony despite their religious differences. The quietness of the hills covered by thick pine forest has made Taman Wisata Iman suitable for spiritual tours.
In addition to the places of worship, there are also: a field for Muslim pilgrimage practicing hajj, a statue of Abraham, a statue of Moses, a church of Ecumenism, a cave of Virgin Mary, and Noah’s phenomenal boat.
