We will refund your payment that we have received in full (100%) if you cancel your order at least seven days in advance of scheduled departure, 50% if you cancel it between three dan seven days. We will pick you up at the Silangit airport or your accommodation at Siborongborong. If you are arriving on the day of the tour, you must book your flight to Silangit Airport.
We will drop you off at the airport of your hotel in Medan. If you fly out on the last day of the tour, you must book the flight from Kualanamu International Airport.
Day 1: Silangit Airport - Balige
Upon arrival at the Silangit airport at Siborongborong, you will meet our representatives. Then the trip continues towards Balige and tour begins with a visit to the Museum of TB Silalahi Center. This museum contains a collection of objects of the history of the six Batak sub-ethnics: Toba, Simalungun, Karo, Mandailing, Angkola, Pakpak. In TB Silalahi Center there is also a gallery and art shops selling typical souvenirs such as Batak sculptures, woven fabric "Ulos," and others. In this room, some panels tell the history of the life of TB Silalahi and the journey of his career. Besides, this place contains his personal belongings, such as uniforms and ranks in the military, some diploma, school bench of his elementary school, clothes when he was a minister, and the car he used to drive when serving in the cabinet, etc.
Lunch at a local restaurant. After that, the tour continues to visit the tomb of King Sisingamangaraja XII. Sisingamangaraja XII is the last Batak king with a legendary story. He is famous for his courage and his fight for independence against the Netherlands for 30 years. The first war broke out between the forces of Sisingamangaraja XII and the Netherlands at Balige. Dinner is at a local restaurant. You then transfer to hotel for rest. Check into the hotel, free time.
Day 2: Balige - Parapat - Samosir Island (B, L, D)
In the early morning, you will trek Pahoda Hill to see the sunrise. Pahoda Hill has become a favorite spot for travelers to enjoy the beauty of Lake Toba. You will have breakfast on the hill with the typical menu of the Pahoda Balige, i.e., Gomak noodles and local coffee. Enjoy it while looking at the beauty of the Balige part of Lake Toba from a distance, i.e., from the Pahoda hilltop. Then return to the hotel to rest for a bit. Check out of the hotel by noon, and the journey continues towards Parapat. Upon arrival at Parapat, approach a local restaurant for lunch. After the meal, take the ferry boat to cross to Samosir island in the midst of Lake Toba.
Upon arrival at the island, visit Ambarita to see the execution stone chairs made by King Siallagan in antiquity. Then continue heading to Tomok, to see the tomb of King Sidabutar (which is hundreds of years old) and to see the ancient Tomb of King Sidabutar. Then drive back to Parapat. Dinner is at a local restaurant. You then transfer to hotel for rest. Check into the hotel, and enjoy free time.
Day 3: Parapat - Berastagi - Medan (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, check out of the hotel. Then head to the town of Berastagi. Stop briefly at Bukit Indah Simarjarunjung and Sipiso-Piso Waterfall. When you have reached the town, visit the famous fruit and flower market. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then the trip continues to the city of Medan past Green Hill; stop at the Lumbini Natural Park whose golden Shwedagon Pagoda is highest of its kind in Indonesia. The pagoda is the second largest pagoda among similar replicas outside Burma. It holds the record for the tallest Pagoda in MURI, namely Indonesia (first
Arrive in Medan, and transfer to local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, the tour continues with a visit to Maimun Palace. It is the heritage of the Sultanate of Deli. The palace's dominant color is yellow, as such color is the color of Malay kingdoms. Its design represents typical Malay architecture on the East Coast. An Italian architect designed the palace, and King Mahmud Al Rashid completed its construction in 1888. You will have the opportunity to wear the shirt of the indigenous Malay Kingdom and take pictures together at the Maimoon Palace.
Then proceed to visit the Mosque of Al-Raya Mashun, a legacy of the King of Deli in North Sumatra Maimoon Palace. Also, explore the old post office (built in 1911) at the Merdeka Walk. A Dutch architect named Snuyf designed the building. Then visit the town hall established in 1900 by architect Bureau Hulswitt and stylish European architecture. The building is now part of Aston Hotel. Don't miss Bank Indonesia on your list of visit, too. It also carries the typical Dutch relics.
If time permits, you will join the Shopping Tour visiting Andaliman Galerry that sells typical products of North Sumatra; or visit The Jegez selling conventional products. You will have dinner at a local restaurant, then transfer to hotel for rest. Check into the hotel, and enjoy free time.
Day 4: Medan - Kualananamu International Airport (B)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel at your convenience. Today you are given a chance to go shopping for typical food of Medan like Bika Ambon, Pancake Durian, and Bolu Gulung Meranti, each is typical of Medan. Then transfer to Kualanamu International Airport for your next trip.
